Adler loves the camera!
Aidan loves to wear everyone's shoes!
One of the numerous playground pieces that you will not see very often in the U.S.
AAHHHH!!! The traditinal fried Kazazh Bread...YUMMMMMY!!!
Jessica and Rashaun preparing the bread
We are half way through day 58 and are eagerly awaiting our flight to Almaty this evening. Our little ones are napping and Mama too! We will be picked up at 10 pm for our midnight flight. The flight should take a about an hour and a half. We have had an action packed day of packing and cleaning our apartment.
Day 57 was also full of activities. We started the day by going to the Yurt's which was a pretty cool experience. They are filled with handmade souveniers, traditional Kazakh clothes, and costumes. We went to our favorite caregiver's house again, this time for lunch. Once again, the food was amazing. We had homemade dumplings with ground beef stuffed inside. This was served in a bowl of soup that best resembled a garlicy chicken broth...SCRUMPTIOUS! Of course we had homemade fried bread again and this time Jessica got the recipe and helped make it. We can't wait to share this with everyone upon our return! We ate too much and even skipped dinner! Adler and Aidan both ate a good portion then settled for some good ole' beans and franks for dinner. Papa whipped up this concoction with kidney beans and hot dogs (not at all what we are used to in the U.S.). They actually loved it and Aidan had a second bowl.
We hope to obtain an interent connection again while we are in Almaty. If not, we will see and talk to you all soon. With Love!
