Day 28

It sure was evident that Papa had been taking care of our children for the past day and a half. I thought that I would be a hot commodity this afternoon when I came, but nope! It was all about Papa. I was a little disappointed but realized that they were just used to seeing him. I was feeling much better this afternoon although I still don’t have my appetite back.

Today marks four weeks from the day we left for Kazakhstan. We continue to do well despite missing certain things from home: Our family, our animals (3 dogs, 4 cats), Mexican food, my flowers and our house, and Chris misses cutting the lawn. The list could be longer but we will save that for about week 7 or so.

Hello again Jessica and Chris. The children so happy and I love the class picture. I really love all your pictures but some of them just pull at prospective adoptive parents' hearts strings and just reaffirms our decision to stay on this road that you are ahead of us on.
I know it seems like a long journey for you, although I've read that people say it really does fly by in their memories and they miss the days in Kaz once they are gone, but it seems that your little girl may still be getting used to the idea of leaving her "home" for her new home; and that these extra weeks you are getting to spend there with them at the baby house may really "pay off" (for lack of a better word) for her later.
We are so proud of you guys and so thankful for you for what you are doing and for sharing it all with us. God bless you today. We are keeping you in our prayers daily. Love (and hugs) Janie and Dean Holland

You will make it and will have your comforts of home soon. Hang in there. I remember feeling the 4week slump also and being homesick for Drew and family. Glad you are feeling better! Your kids are just so darn cute!!!!!!!!!!

It is a long process and you guys are doing great - court is just around the corner! Stay strong, Crutchfields, we're sending prayers and encouragement your way.

How's this for a little perspective - today we had Sasha's first postplacement interview. Can you believe it?!?

Sorry I have not hit yall up earlier. I was just catching up on the blog tonight. Jessica, I hope you feel better. Chris, (2) kids at the same time running in different directions is tough for any parent, but it looks like you handled it like a pro. The kids look cute, and Chris I like the John Deer shirt. My prayers are with you and your new family and we can't wait to see all of yall when you get back!!
