Cutting the grass is a family affair around here. Yes, that is a sickle in his right hand and grass clippings in his left.
One of our favorite times of the day.....taking a bath! It will be so much more fun with bubbles and it lasts more than 2 minutes.
Our children are such good little helpers. Yes, that is dirt, and that is the "snow" that is swept up and placed into buckets.
We share EVERYTHING, including our sister's hat!
This is what happens when you tell a 2 1/2 year old she can't go outside when that is her daily routine with mama and papa.....such a sad but photogenic moment. Chris- We are still having a great time here in Karaganda! We welcomed another WPA family here this morning and they had a safe trip here. Our children had a little difficulty yesterday as we were not supposed to go outside as it was windy and under 70 degrees? Adler has been coughing a little and has had a raspy little voice. Our travel partner Mike determined it was croup. Adler was given a shot on the hiney and has been having breathing treatments twice a day. She does amazingly well and any Doctor would sure love to have her as a patient. She has gotten better over the past two days and was given the o.k. to go outside today. We had a great day with our children and we learned to say open and close when using the door. “Who woulda thunk it would be so fun to open and close a door repeatedly for 5 minutes?” We also bought 15 sand buckets with shovels and rakes and gave them out to the older class (our children’s former classmates that have all been bumped up). It was amazing to see the kid’s reactions as many did not know what to do the buckets. Some would just put lots of the broken toys in them, some would take everything out and just carry the bucket, some went to the sandbox to play, and some kept trying to give the buckets back to us. One of the caregiver’s called me Santa Claus.

What a sweet thoughtful thing to do for those children - The babyhouse is going to hate to see you leave, Santa Chris.
Hi guys! Lera and I, Heather and Sylvia made it back home. I have enjoyed catching up on your blog and am thrilled to hear that court went so smoothly. Hearty congrats.
Lera has been so good - in Almaty, while traveling, and today, our first full day at home. She really thrives on their routine/schedule - thanks for posting it (I was wondering when bath time was!) All the best to you!!
