Mmmmm Good...what's not to like?
We spend lots of time looking for the kitty while we are outside. Adler says: "R u kitty?" (Where are you kitty?)
Come on down Adler, your little brother is ready to catch you!So we are counting down to July 9th which will complete our 15 day waiting period. This means that we can bring the children to our apartment and they will officially be ours.
We have continued to feed Aidan and Adler. Today we introduced some of my cooking, pasta with chicken, bell peppers, and marinara sauce. However, neither one of them liked it! However, they did eat all of the baby house food which is basically the same food everyday. There was a treat at the end if it was all gone (we introduced this yesterday)……Adler wasted no time eating yesterday so that she could enjoy a drinkable yogurt. Aidan on the other hand wasn’t so sure that he wanted the yogurt that bad.
So today when leaving the baby house we noticed that they received a shipment of food. Huge bags of potatoes, onions, and cabbage. In addition to the fresh vegetables was what appeared to be half of a cow. Literally. It was laid out on a tarp in the driveway outside of the kitchen. The maintenance men were using an ax to hack away at it by placing it on top of wooden block, similar to how you would chop wood. Hmmmm……lots of flies and a stray dog had made its way onto the property to investigate the smell. I can see why my children enjoyed their meal more than my pasta with chicken, who doesn’t love some parking lot beef?
We are doing better these days and our spirits are high. We know that God has a huge plan for our family and although it is hard at times, we have kept our faith in Him.

I can tell from your uplifted spirit that you have kept you faith and trust in God and He will lift you up.
Who knows how many flies are ground in with that meat! How many times have either one of you tasted those yummy lunches? Now that you see how the meat is prepared - you may want some! yourself

The meat was one of the grossest aspects of Kaz to me. Now seeing your pictures turns my stomach! Lindsay loved her meatballs in the babyhouse.....
Your children may want meat and potatoes only for a while and that's ok! Lindsay enjoyed the cereals that you can buy in Kaz that are flavored with vegetables and meat. I would mix milk or water with them and she loved it. But she was younger than your kids. We found great chicken noodle soup there and she loved that too!
Counting down the days with you and glad your spirits are up!
Well, it's definitely been a journey of faith for you guys. I'm learning that the harder the journey, the greater the reward! Or, if it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger - that might apply to eating the parking lot beef! Love you. Sending prayers your way!

I don't want to hex myself saying this, but we have been having a great adjustment with Lera. We are SO pleasantly surprised. Russ and I are attributing it, in large part, to all of the time we spent together in Kaz before we brought her home. You all will have even more time together than we did - so your 'investment' now, will surely pay off later. Best wishes in keeping your spirits up.
Oh my.....They may need a "tummy cleanse" when you get them home. :)
